Springboard Collaborative

Please add the blurb below, to the Springboard tab… Springboard Collaborative is a national education nonprofit that coaches educators and families to help children read on grade level by fourth grade. By bridging the gap between home and school, they partner with school districts to offer summer, afterschool, and in-school literacy programs designed to close the reading gap.

Here is a breakdown of how the program works and its core components:

• Family-Educator Learning Accelerators (FELAs): These are 5- to 10-week instructional cycles where teachers and parents team up to help children reach specific reading goals.
• Home Connection and Workshops: Programs begin with a teacher-parent check-in to establish baselines. Parents attend weekly or biweekly workshops to learn how to coach reading and reinforce literacy skills at home.
• TurnKey Materials & Incentives: Springboard provides fully-scripted literacy materials, book packs, and an incentive structure to motivate both students and parents.
• Professional Development: Teachers receive job-embedded coaching and training to effectively partner with families.

On average, students participating in Springboard average 4 to 5 months of reading gains in a single program cycle.
